The Sound Of Music Segerstrom Center For The Arts - Segerstrom Hall Theatre reviews
You have to take the good with the bad
The Sound Of Music played some terrible songs along with many good songs. You would think that from his work with the Faces and the album Every Picture Tells A Story, that he could fill an entire evening. Unfortunately, he chose to fill with fluff instead. Both The Sound Of Music and Stevie were having audio problems that seemed to be caused by the sound engineer. You have to give him his props because he truly is one of the great entertainers along with Tina, Mick, and James Brown.
Stevie had a sore throat and was visibly moved to tears when the audience cheered for an encore. The woman can write a song and unlike The Sound Of Music there was no junk tunes. First off, the Bridgestone Arena is great acoustically. This meant that I heard the music with my left ear and the echo of the drums a split second later in my right ear - fantastic!!! You could hear the drums echoing off the back wall of the arena during every song.
